This lecture showcases the scope of Oral Medicine through a case-based exploration of oral lesions, emphasizing common and significant conditions such as oral cancers, oral potentially malignant disorders, and oral manifestations of systemic diseases. Speaker: Dr. Scarlet Charmelo

Dr. Scarlet Charmelo is an Associate Professor of Oral Medicine at the Dental College of Georgia. She's a recognized expert, holding a Diplomate status with the American Academy of Oral Medicine. Dr. Charmelo obtained her DDS from the University of Carabobo in Venezuela and further specialized in Oral Pathology and Oral Surgery at the Pontifical Xavierian University in Colombia. After working as an associate for four years, she completed the Oral Medicine residency program at the University of Pennsylvania before joining the Dental College of Georgia in 2019.
