Anterior Aesthetics Hands-On Program

This program will provide attendees with a strong theoretical basis on the management of single-tooth implants in the aesthetic zone. A secondary objective will be to maximize peri-implant soft-tissue aesthetics around definitive restorations – critical elements for achieving sustainable aesthetics. At the completion of the program, participants should be able to:

  • Review clinical data prior to treatment planning this type of restoration.
  • Converse with surgeons and dental lab technicians regarding the specifics of immediate implant placement and provisional restoration.
  • Be familiar with different methods of fabricating immediate single unit non-occlusally loaded provisional restorations.

Participants will receive a demonstration model containing an anterior implant, restorative components and tools to be able to perform all of the steps to create an Immediate Screw Retained Provisional Restoration and Custom Impression Coping. In addition to the hands-on program, updates on the latest technologies and how they can increase the success of your dental implant cases will be covered.

Mental Health in Dentistry

In the dental profession, the mental health of staff and doctors is just as important as patient care. The fast-paced, high-pressure environment can lead to significant stress, which, if left unaddressed, may result in burnout and decreased job satisfaction. Dental professionals face unique challenges, from managing patient anxieties to maintaining physical stamina during long procedures. Prioritizing mental well-being in the workplace is essential for fostering a healthy, supportive environment that benefits both the team and their patients.

Learning Points:

  • High-Stress Environment: Dentists and staff often face demanding schedules, patient care responsibilities, and administrative tasks, leading to increased stress.
  • Risk of Burnout: Constant pressure, physical demands, and emotional exhaustion can contribute to burnout if mental health isn't prioritized.
  • Importance of Support: A supportive workplace with open communication, mental health resources, and stress management tools can reduce stress and improve well-being.
  • Impact on Patient Care: When dental professionals manage their mental health, they are more focused, attentive, and able to provide better care for their patients.
  • Promoting Work-Life Balance: Encouraging healthy work-life boundaries helps prevent fatigue and maintains long-term career satisfaction

The Importance of Patient Implant Maintenance

Join us for an interactive program focused on connecting dental hygienists & assistants in our community to strengthen our working relationships and elevate the patient experience. Implant maintenance should be a part of the treatment plan. Start by educating your patient once they understand and accept treatment, not after the treatment is done. Your patient will need to know how dental implants differ from their natural dentition and why they need more attention. This explanation can pave the way to ensuring they set up and keep regular cleaning appointments and great homecare. By establishing this protocol, you can provide your patients with the tools needed to hopefully avoid complications in the future.
